I *loved* this wedding at Spencer Peirce Little Farm. But then again, when I met Emily and her mom last year at Chococoa Baking Company, I knew if they hired me that I would really like working with both of them. And I did. Lovely, lovely women. I photographed the bride and groom for their engagement shots — and that day was a vivid and sunny one. The weather for their wedding day in October, however, was right out of Wuthering Heights. Well, okay. Not *that* windy, but there were clouds and rain that cast a muted and romantic tone over the day, and gusts of wind here and there that would brush the falling foliage across the farm grounds and flutter the white bunting banners that were strung from tree to tree along the main drive into Spencer Peirce. And although everyone hopes that the sun will shine and blue skies will prevail, there’s a lesson here that all weather is magical in one way or another. And that was certainly the case this day.
The bridal party got ready at the Compass Rose Inn in Newburyport. The ceremony and reception were at Spencer Peirce Little Farm in Newbury — the ceremony under the open air in the courtyard behind the main house, and the reception under a beautiful white tent in the fields. Some of the formal shots were taken in the barn. Ah-mazing light. The bride’s bouquet, wedding decor, and event coordination were done by Tigerlily’s Events.
